I really love smoothies, I also love juicing but smoothies, to me, are the gold standard - by using your fruit whole in smoothies in means you capture and ingest all the beneficial properties of whole fruit, rather than just what is contained in the juice.

The nutritional value of oranges makes them beneficial for indigestion, constipation, bowel disorders, as well as prevention of osteoporosis, heart disease, injection and skin health.

Mangoes are super rich in Vitamins - particluarly C and A. They are beneficial for preventing infection digestive tract issues i.e. constipation, morning sickness and have also been shown to help with menstrual disorders.

This Orange and Mango Smoothie uses coconut milk, which as you already know, I am a big fan of. There is a lot of mixed opinion around whether coconut milk (saturated fat) is good for you. I disagree with the opinion that we should avoid coconut products as I believe that our bodies use this particular plant based saturated fat beneficially. Check out what Dr Libby has to say about coconut milk here

To make this smoothie, blend together:

1 orange (peeled)

1 banana

3/4 cup frozen mango

1 cup of coconut mikl

1 tsp maca (optional)
