Instagram - Starting my day with a gorgeous Green Smoothie!

Find the recipe for

This smoothie is my new 'go to' green smoothie. I still love my orange one, but I am liking to blend with milk at the moment, to get the extra protein.

I have heard a few times from people that the thought of a 'creamy' green smoothie, is what puts them off. Let me tell you now, I was you once!! My sister was drinking these 'crazy' green smoothies, and the the thought of it alone made me want to.....yes. Anyway, I got to this point where I was seeing the benefits in her, and wanted me some of that!

So I tried one, (fruit heavy with just a little spinach), then another, and then another. And the more I had of them, the more I craved them, and the easier it was for me to start incorporating more greens and veges and less fruits.

Here is your challenge: 1 green smoothie a day - doesn't have to be this one, although I obviously highly recommend it! Photograph it, doesn't have to be super styled!! And keep a record - feel free to post them on my wall on FB or send tag me in them on IG - sometimes that accountability helps keep you on track. It won't be long until you're a green smoothie convert (/addict) like me!

Enjoy this one, it's a real little gem.

Blend together:

250ml (1 cup) of So Good Almond and Coconut Milk

1 banana

Flesh of 1/2 a lemon (peeled)

50g of cucumber (it's about 5 cms)

1tbsp Avocado

1-2 cups of spinach

A few fresh mint leaves

A small handful of ice

Optional: I add 1 tsp of Waihi Bush Organics Flax Fibre Balancing Greens Powder to my green smoothies

Serve straight away - the colder, the better.

E njoy!
